It all happens in the 7th and 8th floor in Rotterdam, in the so called mother and child centre. Within the philosophy of the hospital, the mother can stay before, during and after the birth on the same room and on the same bed. There are 23 birthing suites available, equiped with the most advanced medical equipment.
TechniCare has delivered in association with their Dutch distributor 23 Nascentia birthing beds. During 2020 and 2021 TechniCare delivered 23 birthing beds. Also, we arranged in combination with a non-profit organisation the transport of the old birthing beds to Ukrain.
The most important reason for the hospital to choose for the nascentia birthing beds were the comfort for the patient, and the ergonomics for the professional.
The Ikazia Hospital is one of leading birth centres in the Netherlands and offer high quality care. To support the staff as much as possible, all the Nascentia birthing beds have an electrical drive system integrated. Because of this, the nurses can drive the birthing bed with literally one finger. This gives the possibility to stay focussed on the mother and not on the driving of the birthing bed.
